Overnight Hospitalization

When your pet needs to stay overnight or requires ongoing medical support, we offer three levels of hospitalization to ensure the right level of care based on their condition. From basic observation to intensive critical care, our team is here overnight to monitor and support your pet’s recovery.

Level 1: Observation (Basic Care)

Purpose: For stable patients who do not require intensive monitoring.

Typical Conditions: Post-surgical recovery, mild illness i.e fluid therapy for the renal cat, routine post-procedure recovery.

Care Provided:

  • Comfortable bedding and a quiet, clean environment.
  • Observation for signs of distress or complications.
  • Access to food and water if appropriate.
  • Basic checkups (temperature, pulse, respiration) every 4-6 hours.
  • Administering any prescribed medications.
  • IV fluid therapy is needed.
  • Regular bathroom breaks.

Hospitalization - Level 1 Per Shift (Night) 1 $360.00 - includes medication administration; if medications are needed to be prescribed, additional costs will incur.

IV Infusion Catheter/Setup and Monitoring BUN $250.00 - if patient needs IV catheter and IV fluid therapy.

Fluid Therapy - Monitoring/Day $125.00 - if patient arrives with a patent catheter placed and fluids from primary care veterinary clinic.

Level 2: Intermediate Care

Purpose: For patients that require more attention due to moderate instability or complications.

Typical Conditions: Moderate illness i.e stable blocked cat with urinary catheter placed, recovering from anesthesia or surgery with some complications, dehydration, or mild respiratory distress.

Care Provided:

  • Comfortable bedding and a quiet, clean environment.
  • Observation for signs of distress or complications.
  • Access to food and water if appropriate.
  • Administering any prescribed medications.
  • Regular bathroom breaks.
  • Monitoring of vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation when needed.
  • More frequent assessments (every 2-4 hours).
  • IV fluid administration or other specific treatments.
  • Medication administration (PO or IV).
  • Urinary catheter maintenance if needed.
  • Staff intervention in case of any concerning changes in condition.
  • Regular feeding and hydration monitoring.

Hospitalization - Level 2 Per Shift (Night) $420.00 -- includes medication administration; monitoring fluid additives, CRI administration, if medications are needed to be prescribed, additional costs will incur.

IV Infusion Catheter/Setup and Monitoring BUN $250.00- if patient needs IV catheter and IV fluid therapy.

Fluid Therapy - Monitoring/Day $125.00 - if patient arrives with a patent catheter placed and fluids from primary care veterinary clinic.

Level 3: Critical Care (High-intensity Monitoring and Support)

Purpose: For patients requiring intensive support and continuous monitoring due to severe illness or injury.

Typical Conditions: Severe trauma, shock, critical post-surgical care, severe infections.

Care Provided:

  • All of Level 2 care plus:
  • Continuous vital sign monitoring (e.g., heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) and immediate intervention if needed.
  • Administration of IV fluids with additive and/or syringe pump therapies.
  • Intensive pain management and sedation if necessary.
  • Close observation for rapid changes in status and emergency interventions.
  • Regular bloodwork and lab tests to monitor organ function and metabolic status.

Hospitalization - Level 3 Per Shift (Night) 1 $480.00 -- includes medication administration; monitoring fluid additives, CRI administration, if medications are needed to be prescribed, additional costs will incur.

IV Infusion Catheter/Setup and Monitoring BUN $250.00- if patient needs IV catheter and IV fluid therapy.

Fluid Therapy - Monitoring/Day $125.00 - if patient arrives with a patent catheter placed and fluids from primary care veterinary clinic.

Miscellaneous Medication/Therapeutics $150.00 -> $250.00.
