Dr. Johnson earned her doctoral degree at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at a Specialty Referral Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Johnson then relocated to the Portland area where she worked at an emergency hospital prior to joining the VPUC team. She values transparency and strives to ensure pet parents feel involved in their fur babies care.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her elderly dogs, Baxter and Jerski. Her animal family also includes two rescue leopard geckos (Norbert and Andarna) as well as a very opinionated corn snake (Linguinie). She and her significant other spend time trying new restaurants, taking the pups on weekend adventures, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
